Seebeck coefficient measurement system Linseis LSR-3 Thermoelectric materials/devices allow the direct conversion of electricity into a heat flux and conversely the direct conversion of heat into electricity. These conversions are, respectively, based on the Peltier and the Seebeck effects that occur in a solid material either submitted to a current or a temperature difference. Using Linseis LSR-3, thermoelectric materials in the form of bulky pellets or thin films can be characterized. We measure the Seebeck Coefficient and the Electrical Conductivity (or resistivity) simultaneously up to a maximum temperature of 800°C.
